Description

2002 BMW E46 M3 Coupe SMG, finished in Carbon Black Metallic with black Nappa leather and powered by the legendary 3.2L S54 straight-six. 129,966 km / approx. 80,757 miles. Originally supplied in Japan before being imported to New Zealand. I purchased the car from Tokyo Imports Auckland in November 2024, becoming its first New Zealand owner. I have made no modifications during my ownership. The coilover suspension was already fitted when purchased, likely during its life in Japan. My focus has been servicing, maintaining and enjoying the car. When I relocated from NZ back to the UK at the end of 2025, I couldn't bring myself to sell it, so shipped the M3 home with me. I collected it in April 2026 and it subsequently passed its first UK MOT with only one minor advisory for a slightly discoloured rear indicator. It is now fully UK registered with V5C present and 0 former UK keepers. Mechanically the car has been excellent. The S54 pulls strongly, SMG operates as it should and it drives beautifully. The engine bay is exceptionally clean and the underside also presents extremely well, with no significant corrosion issues observed during my ownership. Following UK registration I took it from Hertfordshire through Scotland and back to properly exercise it following shipping/storage. It completed the trip without issue. Service documentation is available alongside UK import, MOT and registration paperwork. Specification includes Carbon Black Metallic, black Nappa leather, SMG Drivelogic, electric glass sunroof, heated front seats, Harman Kardon audio, Professional Navigation, xenon headlights, Park Distance Control and coilover suspension. Cosmetically, I want to be completely transparent. This is not a concours example. NZ UV exposure has caused paint/clear-coat deterioration and blistering, particularly around the roof/sunroof. There are also age-related marks/stone chips and the alloys have kerb damage and would benefit from refurbishment. These imperfections are deliberately shown in the photographs. My original intention was to restore the paintwork and refurbish the wheels before selling, but I am happy to let the next owner carry out the cosmetic restoration. I genuinely don't want to sell it. I brought it halfway around the world because I couldn't leave it behind, but my circumstances mean I can no longer realistically keep it. An honest, mechanically strong ~81k-mile E46 M3 with an unusual Japan New Zealand UK history. Serious enquiries
