Focus 1.0 EcoBoost - Spares or Repairs suspected head gasket issue. Non starter Bought for £3,200 July 2025 The car was running perfectly fine up until today when the engine suddenly cut out and initially wouldn't restart. There was white smoke coming from under the bonnet and the cooling fans sounded like they were working excessively. The RAC attended and found that the coolant was completely empty, despite the coolant being topped up only last month. The car did restart after filled, however, rather than risk causing any further damage, I had it recovered home. I have owned the car for 1 year and 1 month and have looked after it very well throughout my ownership. It had an oil and filter change in August 2026 and the wet belt was replaced in July 2025, shortly before I purchased it. The service book is also present in the glovebox. It has very good service history, I have had 2 further services carried out by family.
