However, sometimes we have to make tough decisions in life. I bought the Merlin in 2016, and in 2017, I completely stripped it down to the bare chassis and underwent a full restoration. The Merlin is finished in a stunning Candy Red paint. It features full LED lighting, including engine bay illumination and under-glow running along the length of the long wings. It has a brand-new complete wiring harness, a 10" touchscreen, CD, DVD, USB, SAT-NAV audio system with 8 speakers + a 10" subwoofer, keyless start, and an alarm system. The interior features a handcrafted wooden dashboard, custom wooden door cards, a matching wooden steering wheel, and leather boots for the gear stick and handbrake. It also includes 2-stage heated seats with custom embroidery on the headrests, matching the unique upright lady mascot on the radiator grille. Every single bolt, washer, and nut connecting the body panels is made of stainless steel. The front axle components are galvanised, the engine and rear axle are painted in a striking vibrant blue, and the entire underbody is protected with an anti-chip rubberised coating. The car has never been driven on wet roads or in the rain; it is garaged year-round and kept under a protective car cover. The Merlin comes with a brand-new black soft top and matching soft side windows. Since the full restoration, the car has covered a genuine 1,760 miles. All 5 matching tyres (including the fully functional spare) are in at least 95% condition. My Merlin has never let me down on the road, and it is an incredible head-turner for pedestrians and motorists alike. Whenever I parked it next to luxury supercars, it always commanded just as much attention, if not more, than the modern sports cars. This car is unique built it as a true passion project, and it has brought me endless joy throughout the years. For this reason, I will be selective about the next owner.
