71,000 miles | 6-speed manual | 8 years ownership | Only c.10,000 miles during my ownership | VANOS overhauled | ACL rod bearings | Differential & gearbox work | Four new Continental tyres | Specialist-serviced | Extensive history I have owned this car for the last 8 years and genuinely loved every minute of owning it. It has been my wedding car, been on countless road trips and I have some serious memories attached to it. It really is a phenomenal machine, which makes putting it up for sale incredibly difficult. The reality is that I now keep it in specialist storage for around 7-8 months of the year, and with a child on the way I'm looking to consolidate down to two cars for the time being. Throughout my ownership I've been meticulous with the car and have always maintained it with the intention of keeping it for the long term. I've also avoided driving it in the rain wherever possible. Despite covering only around 10,000 miles during my eight years of ownership, I have continued to service the car on a time rather than mileage basis. It has been looked after by respected BMW specialists including Birds BMW, A Reeve Performance and Grosvenor BMW in Caversham, and was most recently serviced just two months ago. Last year I had the VANOS overhauled and the rod bearings upgraded to ACL bearings, taking care of two of the main areas people look for on these cars. It has also had differential and gearbox work carried out during my ownership. I've also recently fitted four new Continental ContiSportContact 5 tyres. I've never waited for things to go wrong before spending money on the car. I've always tried to maintain it properly and stay on top of anything it has needed, and I think that shows in both the way it drives and its overall condition. I will be genuinely sad to see it go, but I would much rather it went to someone who is going to use it, enjoy it and look after it in the same way I have.
