PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION NON RUNNER at the moment Car went for mot when collecting from the garage they had put on paperwork that they had noticed a severe misfire ? But still passed car mot On driving the car on a daily basis I had noticed a misfire when putting my foot down but it soon picked up as I continued driving I've had 3 different mechanics look at it and they've all been unable to find what the issue is ? Apart from that it's a timing issue ? This is what has been checked by latest mechanic - He sent me message as follows - Just had a look at the mini I have checked compression, smoke test, swapped plugs and coils around and it still seems to behave the same seems to misfire on 1 and 4 when you watch it on the diag machine, had the pc valve blocked off just in case it was drawing air in, now it's at the point where you need to check fuel pressure and just double check the timing. As you can see a lot has been looked at !He did say he didn't think it was the timing chain but couldn't be sure ? His advice was to sell it on to someone who has time to spend on it investigating the issue Apart from all of the above she really has been a great little car and never let me down - until now !! Unfortunately I haven't got the time to wait for the issue to be resolved and have purchased a new car She has been started every day since fault found but not driven as advised not to to not cause any further damage if it was timing chain ?? She starts every time and can some days tick over nicely with no rough idle Stunning little car with the usual age related marks small crack in back bumper but not major at all Has a beautiful glitter finish to paint work black spoke alloys Half leather interior with leather steering wheel with ambient mood lighting in various different colours radio and cd player with facility to connect phone etc Had this car for 6 years with no major issues Currently has 10 months mot just had brand new brake discs (rear) almost brand new tyres all round new battery last year Immaculate inside again age related wear but excellent for cars age Drivers seat is showing more wear on leather trim but again not torn or shabby Only 1 key - fob doesn't work have to open manually with key Tried to show as much detail as possible in pictures and I have been as honest as I can be with her faults and I'm really sorry I couldn't fix her myself She will be SOLD AS SEEN and price reflects this
