A genuine 1985 Vauxhall Nova Sport with exceptional history, originality and provenance. Owned by just three owners from new. The first owner kept the car until 1994, when it passed to its second owner. It was then used sparingly as a second car and exceptionally well cared for. I purchased it in 2010 and have continued to use it mainly for shows and summer weekend driving. The car has been a familiar sight within the Vauxhall scene, being shown regularly with Vauxhall clubs since the mid-1990s, and is believed to be one of the best unrestored examples remaining. The body is superb and has never required welding, having been waxoyled from new. It retains the majority of its original panels and decals. The only known replacement panel is the passenger door, replaced under warranty early in its life. The provenance is outstanding. The car comes with a substantial history file including the original bill of sale, original service book, virtually every MOT certificate and nearly every tax disc issued up to their discontinuation in 2014, along with a large collection of receipts and servicing records. The interior is excellent, with no rips, tears or heavy wear and minimal fading. It was radio-equipped from new and retains its original aerial. A Blaupunkt DAB Bremen and upgraded speakers are currently fitted. The engine remains standard and is in very good order. It was fitted with the upgraded camshaft from new and has recently had the carburettors rebuilt, producing a healthy 94 bhp when recently set up. Careful, reversible upgrades include Bilstein/Eibach suspension, GTE tie bars and ARB, Quaife quick rack, 16v brakes, F10 SCCR gearbox with GTE CR fifth, and Quaife ATB differential. It currently runs on original OZ Ruote 15" wheels with Michelin tyres. This is a genuinely preserved and highly documented Nova Sport, rather than a restored or recreated example.
