I won't go into the usual guff written about these cars which is all over the internet. But I will tell you this is a completely honest advert about a car I have completely loved owning as a daily driver for some 8 years. It's been incredibly reliable and if this is your first foray into classic cars, I cannot recommend it highly enough and there is nothing to fear. There are plenty of reasonably priced spare parts as and when required. I have owned it since approximately 90,000 MI and the previous owner before that was an Italian architect in London who owned it for some 17 years. Unlike many other models it has been kept original and not messed around with. There are four brand new tires and brake pads recently installed. Although my mechanic said that at some point the calipers should be refurbed which is not an expensive job. The underside has been wax oiled and is sound although I did recently replace the exhaust pipe with high quality replacement which actually makes it sound awesome! I can't think of any other issues with the car except the usual wear and tear. The car will be tax-free from next June. I have never bothered getting the aircon or cruise control working but I'm sure if you wanted them you could get them working without too much trouble. Finally, I will just say as an added bonus you will not believe the respect you get from young and old people on the road. It really does give other Road users pleasure as well as yourself. I really think it is one of the best designed cars ever made. Any questions just ask and come and test drive it and chat about it but please do not waste my time if you are not seriously interested.
