Car for Sale - 59,000 Miles - Gearbox Issue Selling my car due to a gearbox issue. Vehicle Details * 59,000 miles * New MOT * Owned for approximately 1 year * I have personally driven around 10,000 miles * Fully serviced by Vertu Hyundai in January * 4 new Goodyear All-Season tyres, with only around 400 miles used * Gear changes are currently very smooth, as they have always been * Occasional ticking noise from the gearbox while driving * The ticking noise can increase or decrease while driving and is not present all the time * I would not recommend driving the vehicle due to the gearbox noise * Some minor body scratches * Slight damage/scrape to the rear side door, as shown in the photos * Rear bumper requires repair Electrical & Sensor Condition A diagnostic/software check was carried out. The electrical systems and sensors checked were working correctly, with no major faults showing on the diagnostic system. There are currently warnings showing for: * Bonnet/hood opening sensor * Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor These warnings are disclosed for complete transparency. IMPORTANT - GEARBOX FAULT The gearbox has an intermittent ticking noise and requires investigation and likely repair/replacement. The gearbox is still changing gears smoothly, but due to the ticking noise, I would not recommend driving the vehicle as the fault could potentially worsen. Ideally suited to a mechanic, experienced technician, or someone capable of repairing the vehicle themselves.
