Description

2002 Porsche Boxster 2.7 finished in Lapis Blue with blue leather interior, 5-speed manual gearbox and currently showing 157,418 miles. The car has been used as a second car over the summer and has been very enjoyable to own. It has been reliable throughout current ownership and has been maintained with an emphasis on preventative maintenance rather than simply being driven. It has also been run solely on E5 fuel during current ownership. Recent work includes an oil and filter service, along with upgraded MTEC drilled and grooved brake discs and pads. The car has also recently passed its MOT with only two advisories. There is a good history of maintenance and work carried out over the years. The front suspension was recommissioned by a Porsche specialist, the gear linkage has been replaced, and the rear window was replaced by Hubbard Upholstery after the original had discoloured. The front scuttle panel has also been replaced due to age, along with both the bonnet and boot struts. The bonnet has been resprayed following lacquer peel. The electric roof operates correctly and is a particularly nice feature to have working as it should. As expected from a 24-year-old Porsche with over 157,000 miles, the car is not immaculate and does have age-related wear and tear. The most noticeable cosmetic issue is damage and paintwork around the rear number plate area of the rear bumper, which is shown clearly in the photographs. There are also various other marks consistent with the car's age and mileage. The central locking currently does not work, which is a common fault on these cars. The driver's door can still be unlocked manually and this has caused no issues during current ownership. The car will continue to be used occasionally until sold, so the mileage may increase slightly. The vehicle is currently on a private registration, which will be removed before sale. The car therefore cannot be collected until the replacement V5C has arrived, so please take this into consideration when enquiring. Overall, this is a genuine early 986 Boxster with the 2.7 flat-six, 5-speed manual gearbox, Lapis Blue paintwork and blue leather interior. It has had a good amount of maintenance and recommissioning carried out, including several important jobs for a car of this age, and has proved completely reliable during current ownership. It is not being presented as a perfect or concours example, but as an honest,
