Description
An opportunity to buy a relatively inexpensive family car with an outstanding provenance for an older car. The government is headstrong in its mission to remove older cars from the road and as such, the number of reasonably priced second hand cars is diminishing rapidly.
Though the car is 18 years old, it's is in excellent condition having only covered 79000 miles from new. This is exceptional for a diesel of this age, just look through the listings on EBay. It has only had three owners, technically two, I shall explain. The first owner had it for 13 years and ordered it with a comprehensive options list to make the car very special. The second owner, only had it for 6 months as an interim car whilst he waited for his insurance company to replace his stolen car. I've had it nearly 5 years and I'm only selling it because I have too many cars.
The fiesta is the zetec model which is reasonably well spec'd as standard but the first owner opted for metallic paint, Automatic Air conditioning as opposed to manual, a more advanced radio to include built in hands free telephone control, manual tilt and slide sunroof, reversing sensors, 16" alloy wheels instead of 15", Auto folding mirrors, remote central locking, auto wipers and auto lights.. all of which still work. I'm a particular fan of the A/ c which still blows ice cold, even in this extreme period of hot weather. Better than my more modern Passat!
It is motd until February 2027, take with a pinch of salt the over zealous mot examiner with the dreaded word corrosion. Amazing how nothing mentioned in previous years and suddenly all change within 800 miles. You are more than welcome to have it inspected, I have a set of ramps.
There is zero rust on any of the panels, clearly it has some scratches and the odd dingit's 18 years old and lots of selfish people out there.
I service my cars regularly, especially oil changes every year despite the low mileage. It's had a new timing belt and water pump, new front wheel bearings, new injector seals, new rear exhaust box, new master brake cylinder ( common fault on fiestas as the actuating arm is plastic and easily snaps good Ford ploy is that you have to buy the complete master cylinder!). It's had a new rear heated screen because the electrical solder contacts detached and it's very difficult to reattach.
The interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tears to the upholstery, it's not been smoked in either.
The Fiesta is very cheap to run, tax is £35 pa.
