Description

1988 BMW 325i convertible manual - Hartge. This is one of the last BMW E30's to have chrome bumpers. Finished in Malachite Green Metallic with a Tan/Natural leather interior and black manual roof. The optional BBS-style cross spoke alloy wheels are original (including spare) and have 205/55 tyres. I got the car from a family who had it since 2016 and always kept it in a dry garage and the owner before had it since 1996. It was originally sold by Birds London to the CEO of Goldman Sachs with numerous Hartge upgrades. I used to have a 318i convertible with the electric roof and this is a far better car. The engine makes all the difference for driving and the manual hood saves very expensive repairs to the 2 x electric motors. The car was not used often as you can see from the MOT history, but it has always been maintained and serviced. Recent work including: 2024 - Service, 4 x discs/pads + 4 x tyres 2026 - Service including water pump and new belts June 2026: Fluids: New engine oil and filter Radiator and cooling system flushed and new fluids Gearbox oil flushed and replaced Differential oil flushed and replaced Brake fluid flushed and replaced Engine: Compression and smoke test New Timing and alternator belts Power steering belt replaced New spark plugs New exhaust manifold gasket and heatshield Interior: Carpet and seats removed to thoroughly clean and check floor pan. Carpet shampooed and new mats added New DAB 'classic' stereo fitted with USB + Bluetooth and ariel Leather seats chemically cleaned, driver seat bolsters replaced, new rear seat back as these get sun damaged, and treated for future protection Exterior: Bonnet repainted, scratches touched up, cut/polish and paint treated Convertible roof fabric chemically cleaned and then resealed/treated. Underneath: Very solid but all minor signs of rust treated Brake discs, pads and calipers serviced and handbrake adjusted/serviced All wheels removed, wheels balanced, and tracking/alignment done. New front suspension bushes and shock absorbers This leaves a car that is fully ready to enjoy with total confidence. We have used it on many occasions over summer but lack of garage space means it is time to sell as it should not be left outside. I am happy to get a fresh MOT for anyone as it will easily pass. The integrated BMW original tool kit on the underside of the boot is complete as is the unused original medical kit which is stored in the boot Long maintenance history recorded in service book
