Description
The car is currently drivable and starts/runs however, the engine oil warning light is now permanently on.
I have taken the car to a garage and they have confirmed that the wet timing belt needs replacing. I have decided not to carry out this repair myself, so the car is being sold and I want to make it clear that the wet belt repair is required. I am reluctant to drive the car any distance in its current condition, so it would be ideal for someone who is able to arrange the repair/recovery themselves.
Other than the wet belt issue, there are no other known mechanical problems and the car was running smoothly before the warning light came on and has been a reliable car for me over the past two years.
The car does have some minor cosmetic marks, chips and scuffs to the paintwork, and the seats have some staining consistent with age and use.
MOT is due in September.
I am being completely upfront about the condition of the car and the repair required, and the price reflects this. This could suit someone looking for a Focus at a lower price who is able to take care of the wet belt.
