Selling our Golf as we no longer need it. We originally bought it for my girlfriend to learn in and it's been absolutely ideal, but we're now looking to replace it with something ULEZ compliant. It's the 2.0 TDI GT Sport with the DSG automatic gearbox, which is probably the best combination in the Mk5 Golf. The 2.0 diesel is a great engine, plenty of power when you need it but still really economical, particularly on a longer run. It's also a really nice spec for one of these, with full black leather interior, heated front seats, climate control, alloy wheels and DSG gearbox. The leather interior is in particularly good condition for the age and makes it feel a lot nicer than the more basic Golfs. Overall it's a really presentable car for 2008. There are obviously some age-related marks as you'd expect, so I'm not going to pretend it's perfect, but it still looks great and the interior has been looked after. The only real reason we're selling is ULEZ. If it was compliant we'd probably just keep it, as it's been a great little car.
