A London car from new, it has largely been spared heavily salted winter roads. As a result, the underside is in good condition and the body is corrosion free. It drives extremely well and has a full service history. It isn't a concours car. The headlining needs replacing and the driver's seat needs repairing, and there are age related marks to the bodywork. I've deliberately photographed and described these honestly. But these are straightforward cosmetic jobs rather than hidden structural or mechanical problems. I'd much rather start with a genuinely solid, well maintained 9000 and improve the cosmetics than the other way around. I'm selling the car on behalf of my father-in-law, who now lives in Normandy. He very kindly lent it to us as a bit of a "lifeboat" while our two Saab 9-5s were taking turns being needy. Since coming to us in Edinburgh, it has covered up to 1000 miles a year (sometimes much less) and has been kept under a car port. It's now surplus to requirements - although typing that feels rather like tempting fate...
