Description
The good
Timing chain replaced summer 2025
Full service 31/7/2026
MOT 11/08/2027
BMW light package - for seeing puddles around the car at night-look very nice
Front and rear parking sensors
SAT NAV with extra wide screen
Always sails though its MOT and runs very well
Heated leather seats which are great
Inside the car looks great
I've owned it since 2012 with 25k on the clock, 95% motorway miles with just me in the car, I don't smoke, inside the car looks great still
Tyres all less than a year old
The bad
Only 1 key - lost the other one sorry
A few small scratch's on the paintwork
A chip above the wheel on the passenger side (see photo) - it doesn't affect MOT, or the drve.
2 sensors are malfunctioning, one says the brake discs need replacing- they don't, another says there's a problems with the car battery - its fine but it does shut off if your parked up with the engine off for more than about 4 minutes- it's been doing this for the last ten years but never has any issues starting the car or doing anything else. My garage put these faults down to the sensors.
I was planning on keeping the car a lot longer but work is providing me with a new electric car at a price i can't turn down.
This car would work well for someone who needs to do high miles for the 3-4 years, I get 650mile per tank(50mpg-ish) - bit that's on the motorway and i don't really brake or accelerate hard.
I had the timing chain done at Darren wood BMW 2025 it cost about £1700 and every high mileage diesel will need one done around the 220,000 mile mark so bear that cost in mind when you're thinking about future potential running costs
Thanks for looking
