The 640d is a fantastic combination of performance, comfort and economy. The 3.0-litre twin-turbo diesel provides plenty of power while still being exceptionally economical on longer journeys with generous boot space. It is an incredibly refined motorway car and will comfortably return 55+ MPG on a steady motorway run, with around 600 miles achievable from a tank depending on driving style and conditions. I've owned the car since October 2022. During my ownership it has predominantly been used for motorway driving and longer journeys. I have recently moved and no longer cover the mileage I previously did, which is the reason for sale. Approximately six months into my ownership, the original engine developed a fault and was completely replaced with a low-mileage 2018 engine. The replacement engine has 54,880 miles, meaning the engine itself has covered considerably less mileage than the car's 130,716-mile chassis. Since the replacement, I have been particularly diligent with servicing and maintenance.
