The car recently developed an issue where it is losing coolant and has overheated. It has been inspected by a garage and had the temperature sensor replaced, but the coolant-loss issue remains. The garage has advised that the likely cause is either the EGR cooler or head gasket, but neither have been confirmed with further testing, so I am selling it on that basis rather than spending further money investigating/repairing it. The engine starts and runs, but because of the coolant loss/overheating issue I do not recommend driving it away recovery/trailer required. It passed its MOT in March 2026 and is MOT'd until 2 March 2027. Current MOT advisories include front tyres worn on inner edges, corrosion to rear subframe/rear suspension arms (not seriously weakened), reduced damping from both rear shock absorbers and a minor/non-excessive front oil leak. Please understand this is being sold as a faulty vehicle for spares or repair. I have described the known issue as accurately as I can and am not claiming it only needs an EGR cooler or any particular repair.
