Description
Citron C3 1.4i Desire 61,244 miles, ULEZ compliant, 12 months MOT
2005 (54 reg), first registered January 2005. Five-door, manual, 1.4 petrol. ULEZ compliant, currently taxed, MOT until 9 September 2027.
61,000 miles works out at under 3,000 a year. The MOT history on gov.uk records the mileage at every test, so you can verify that yourself before you travel.
I've owned it four years as a second car in north London and I'm upgrading. It starts readily and drives well gearbox, clutch and brakes all as they should be. Air conditioning works and blows cold. Pioneer DEH-S720DAB head unit with DAB, Bluetooth and USB, which makes it far more usable day to day than the original radio.
September 2027 MOT passed with these advisories:
- Suspension arm bush worn on both front sides, not resulting in excessive movement
- Product on both front headlamp lenses, not seriously reducing light output (age-related hazing)
- Rear exhaust silencer slightly loose, and the rear exhaust mounting strip is severely corroded
Nothing there failed, but the exhaust mounting is the one I'd expect a new owner to want sorted before long.
Other things you should know before driving over:
- The lacquer on the roof has failed and gone patchy. Purely cosmetic, but it's the first thing you'll notice.
- Shallow dent on the tailgate above the number plate.
- Wheel trims scuffed.
- One key only I lost the second.
- The full-size spare is currently fitted to the offside rear, so the tyre there is a different brand to the other three and there's no spare in the boot. All four have plenty of tread and it's a normal steel wheel, not a space-saver.
Everything else is straight and solid, no rust of note and the engine bay is dry. A sensible first car, commuter or town runabout with genuinely low miles, a fresh MOT and no ULEZ charge.
Viewing in West Hampstead, NW6, evenings and weekends. Payment cleared before the car and logbook change hands.
