Description

Originally priced at around £80,000 new in the UK, today it's an absolute steal to own a flagship Mercedes roadster built to last a lifetime. This late R230 example has had all the early gremlins (pre-2007 issues) designed out. No ABC hydraulic suspension here (fitted in ALL SL500/SL55/AMG models - an option in SL350s) - it's the simpler, far cheaper-to-run steel-spring setup that still delivers superb handling and ride. These 2009-2011 are flawless, incredible bulletproof machines Why this one stands out from all the others 2009-2011 SL350s that are up for sale? Full AMG visual sports package for aggressive, purposeful look: - 19" original AMG in gloss black - Rear boot spoiler - essential to complete the sporty stance - Rear diffuser - characteristic of the fastest cars on the road - Upgraded AMG-style chrome diamond grille (typical for MB from recent years) - Panoramic glass roof - costly factory option that floods the cabin with light. Not many around - most adverts you see are standard roofs. - Full paddle shifters for manual gearbox mode, weren't universal across the SL350 lineup. - Always handled with care. Previously owned by a knowledgeable 60-year-old millionaire who also drove Porsches and Ferraris - he knew how to treat it and so do I - it's my second R230. I've added just 6,000 miles. Other highlights: - 3.5 V6 naturally aspirated engine - no laggy turbo nonsense, no wondering what to do, when you push the pedal - Super efficient on long runs - can go over 35 mpg on motorways - 114,000 miles - respectable but not excessive for a well-cared-for Mercedes V6 auto. Many examples are still going strong at 180k+ with proper care. There is a few MINOR parking marks that I've been quoted 150 pounds for but didn't bother me. Overall state of laquer is exceptionally good for a 16 year old car - it has been garaged most of its life. I wouldn't sell the car if I didn't have to as I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERY DRIVE - would only change it for an SL from 2018. I bought it exactly a year ago - before winter but enjoyed the open roof even at 8 degrees C. Oil and shock absorber will be changed this month and the price reflects that - if you'd come earlier the price would be significantly lower. Serious buyers only, After initial questions, happy to show the car. No offers on the phone. Bank wire- ready-viewings only for people eager to buy. I have no time for anything else. Thank you.
