BMW ActiveHybrid 5 - Japan Import - Low Mileage - Spares or Repair Reluctantly selling my BMW ActiveHybrid 5 due to a drivetrain/hybrid system fault. The car currently will not go into gear/drive and will require repair, so it is being sold as spares or repair and will need to be recovered. I'm genuinely sad to sell it. If it were up to me, I would have the fault repaired and keep it or sell it afterwards, but I'm travelling soon and unfortunately need the car gone fairly quickly. It's a Japanese import and in great condition for its age, with significantly lower mileage than many comparable examples. The car was serviced in June, has good tyres with plenty of life remaining, and has also been upgraded with Apple CarPlay. When working, it drives and sounds amazing. The 3.0 turbo petrol engine is a brilliant combination of performance and refinement, and the car has been great to own prior to the current fault. This could be a great opportunity for a BMW/hybrid specialist or mechanically experienced buyer who has the knowledge and facilities to diagnose and repair it. Working examples with higher mileage are commonly advertised around the £10,000 mark, so there is potentially good value in the car for the right person.
