DSG Gearbox fault, believed to be cause by failed DMF as can hear it rattling when car is in P, when D is selected the noise stops.
When the car has been running for over 20mins Reverse gear stops working, and if you drive for longer the transmission goes into limp mode and stops changing gear. When the car is cold it seems to work as normal.
I have been advised that it is likely that the failed flywheel has contaminated the DSG fluid and causing the issues, so to fix would require the gearbox removing to replace the flywheel and
DSG fluid to be flushed and all solenoids thoroughly cleaned, estimated cost 800-1000 for this work, hence low price
