Description

It's time to sell my Alpina D3 M47. Genuine reason for sale is the fact I just do not use it that much at the moment and it is not doing it any good sitting under a tree on the driveway, I'd prefer somebody else gets to have some time and use out of it than it wither away. M47 Powered Single turbo variant of the Alpina D3. This means no timing chain issues of the later N47 Bi-Turbo cars. It's got the standard Alpina engine goodies; larger turbo, injectors and tune (330D Injectors and turbo if I am not mistaken) along with a 6 speed manual box. It's also had LCI headlights installed. I have taken the car to the Nurburgring and Cologne on seperate occasions and if I am honest, I would turn out of bed tomorrow and not hesitate to take it back or further again. Use in the recent months has really dwindled down to a few runs here and there cross country for weekend trips and that is really about it. Last year, I ended up completely redoing the rear end as it was suffering from pretty bad bushes in the rear subframe. The work included: - New (used but tidy) rear subframe which was rust protected and painted - New Hardline brakelines made up to suit - New rear linkage arms (all) - New rear calipers, pads and discs - New Handbrake Cables + guide tube - New Wheel Bearings - New Driveshafts - New Genuine Rear M-Sport rear springs - New Droplinks The rear end underside was also knocked back and painted whilst I was under there. In my ownership it has also had the swirlflaps deleted, two new thermostats (EGR + Normal), new FRM, new used tailgate (with OG spoiler swapped), battery and the interior was swapped from the standard Half Leather to a full leather set with leather door cars - no rips or tears in the drivers bolster especially (I still have original seats and cards + they will be included in the sale). I've put a few thousand into keeping this car running and driving well (for an old BMW). I do have inner + outer tierods to do at some point as they were next on the list to tackle but I haven't had time yet and likely won't get around to it any time soon. The bad bits: - Bodywork is looking a little sad. Whilst it is a genuine head turner and this gets thumbs up and reactions almost every time I go out, it is by no means a show pony. - O/S front wing needs attention - Front bumper + Splitter could do with some TCL - Wheels would benefit from refurb and 2 locks for 2 centre caps - Rattle from AC Pump or front pulleys. Drives and pulls fine.
