Description
A very reliable car, gets great mileage especially on the motorway (45-50mpg). The 1.2L turbo gives you a nice boost of power when you need it on hills, overtaking or towing. I've had a tow-bar professionally installed with electrics, mainly for a bike rack but it can tow small trailers as well. It has modern interior trim and controls from the facelift, all of which are quality VAG group parts (feels like a VW). A very comfortable, well balanced ride even with 5 people plus luggage. Air-con works very well, has an upgraded Kenwood sound system, and is a very easy drive for long journeys with cruise control. Just had new tyres on the back, fronts (Pirelli) still have plenty of tread left.
Never had any pets, smoking or young children in the car at all. I have looked after this car as it has been my pride and joy from when I bought it at 32k miles. The previous owner drove it little more than to the shops and back. I'm only selling this car as I'm changing to a van to suit my lifestyle, will be sad to see it go. I've always put the correct oil in the engine, had it serviced yearly and generally taken good care of it. These 1.2L TSI engines last a long time if you look after them properly as I've done. I've always driven this car gently (I like my mpg - 55mpg was my record average on a 200 mile trip!) but it is a very capable car for its size.
It's got a spacious boot, comes with a false floor and parcel shelf (have personally never used these). The Kenwood head unit does support bluetooth calling, but not bluetooth audio/music - sounds fantastic if you plug an 3.5mm jack lead in though. It can also play CDs and DVDs. The head unit can support a rear camera but the car is not currently installed with one.
Car has rear parking sensors that all work. There are a few tiny dents in the bodywork and one in the rear bumper, all hardly noticeable and are to be expected on a vehicle of this age.
