Description
Build number 063, this 2009 Renaultsport Megane R26.R is finished in Gris Makaha/Nimbus Grey, a rare colour combination with only a handful in the UK. It has covered 50,946 miles with four previous keepers, and comes with a full service history, 12 months’ MOT and all three keys.
The car was optioned from new with climate control. A discreet aftermarket Pioneer head unit has since been fitted, adding Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation, and the original stereo is included in the sale.
Modifications are light and focused on the drive: a Milltek stainless exhaust, a short-shift linkage and an RS Tuning remap that reliably lifts output to 260bhp.
As part of our preparation, we fitted new Godspeed discs and CL pads all round on 8 July 2026, with two-piece floating discs at the front. The car also runs on a fresh set of Toyo R888 tyres, and an additional pair of 18-inch wheels and tyres is included.

Renault planned 450 examples of the R26.R but built only 364, and 159 of those came to the UK. The car was 123kg lighter than the standard R26, with revised springs and dampers and semi-slick tyres. It set a front-wheel-drive production car record of 8:17 at the Nürburgring, and at launch it was tested against dedicated sports cars from Lotus and Caterham.
The limited-slip differential and four-point harnesses are what owners remember most. The harnesses hold you firmly in place, so every message from the steering and chassis reaches you undiluted, and the differential pulls the nose tight to the apex as the power goes down. It feels special on the road or on track, and it grows more responsive the harder you drive it.
