Description
Introduced in 2015, the McLaren 570S marked the beginning of the marque's Sports Series, bringing much of the technology developed for its more expensive supercars into a compact and comparatively approachable package. Built around McLaren's carbon-fibre MonoCell II chassis, it combined low weight, hydraulic steering and considerable performance with genuine everyday usability.
This 2016 example has covered 17,414 miles and is accompanied by a comprehensive service history. Maintenance was carried out within the official McLaren network until the two most recent services, both completed by a renowned independent McLaren specialist.
Originally finished in silver, the car is currently presented in a vivid orange exterior wrap. Selected areas have been treated with carbon-effect PPF, creating a strong contrast while helping to protect the surfaces beneath. A fixed rear wing and further exterior detailing give the car a more purposeful appearance, complemented by its signature dihedral doors.
The car sits on 10-spoke lightweight forged alloy wheels with a diamond-cut finish, behind which are orange brake calipers and McLaren's carbon-ceramic braking system.
Inside, the exterior theme continues through a combination of Carbon Black Alcantara, black leather and contrasting orange detailing. The electrically adjustable sports seats incorporate orange centre stripes and contrast stitching, with further orange accents across the dashboard, door panels, steering wheel and seatbelts. An Alcantara dashboard and headlining complete the cabin.
Further equipment includes McLaren's IRIS infotainment system with satellite navigation, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and McLaren-branded floor mats.
Power is supplied by McLaren's 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8, producing 562 bhp and driving the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 570S reaches 60 mph in approximately 3.1 seconds and has a maximum speed of 204 mph.
Beyond its outright performance, the 570S is particularly notable for the accuracy of its hydraulic steering, the structural integrity of its carbon-fibre chassis and its ability to remain usable on the road. With low recorded mileage, a detailed maintenance history and a distinctive specification, this is an individual example of one of McLaren's most accomplished modern road cars.
