Selling for spares/repairs, as I've purchased a new car rather than putting more money into this one because of the following issues. Starting high, but I am open to offers. It's in almost perfect cosmetic condition though, as you can see (bar a small dent on the offside rear wheel arch); the bodywork and interior are immaculate for a car of any age. I took the car for its MOT earlier this month, which was abandoned at the emissions test due to excessive smoking, which is the car burning oil. At this point, I chose to get rid of it instead of having it properly diagnosed and repaired. The mechanic suggested it was most likely the piston rings at fault. Although there could also be further issues as a result of the oil running dry, smoking, etc. I got a quote for a fully reconditioned engine from a company for ~1800. The car still starts and runs surprisingly normally, bar a slightly luggy idle. Brakes need doing and the CV boot needs fixing, but these weren't failures. Further MOT inspection was not finished, so the cost could increase further. I'd advise considering the car only for spares, as I suspect further engine damage as a result of the oil burning issue.
