VW Passat Estate 1.9 TDI 130bhp - 2003 B5 - Green I have for sale my VW Passat Estate, which has been in our family for over 20 years. I personally drove it for 14 years. It has been a fantastic family camping companion and a real workhorse for all the DIY jobs I've thrown at it. The bodywork is in fair condition, with some dents, scratches and areas of rust. However, the engine starts and pulls as well as ever. I spent over £2,000 on it two years ago, and since then it has been driving without any issues. Amongst other things, it has had: * Front lamps replaced * Front and rear suspension replaced * Front windscreen replaced * A/C inverter replaced * EGR replaced * Front brake discs and pads replaced There are, however, several things you need to be aware of: * After spending around £400 between 2019 and 2021 trying to get the A/C working, I eventually gave up. Further investigation may resolve the problem without spending a fortune, but I decided I wasn't going to spend another penny on the A/C. * The remote central locking doesn't work. However, inserting the key into the door unlocks all the doors. * One advisory on the MOT: rear brake disc worn. Mileage: 193,470 miles MOT: 10 February 2027 Tax: 1 May 2027 It also comes with an XL Exodus roof box, Thule Aero roof bars and fixings. A genuine old-school Passat that has served our family extremely well. Not perfect cosmetically, but mechanically it still has plenty of life left in it.
