Description
2015 Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 Turbo, 3-door, approximately 67,000 miles. I am the second owner, so the car has had just 1 previous keeper.
Selling as a non-runner requiring repair. The car suffered an overheating issue shortly after having a new clutch fitted. It was subsequently looked at by a mechanic, who discussed the problem and his findings with a Vauxhall specialist, and I was advised that the head gasket had failed. I was given an approximate repair estimate of £1,200-£1,500, but I have since bought another car and have decided not to have the repair carried out.
The clutch was replaced immediately before the overheating issue at a cost of approximately £1,800. Prior to this, the car was running and driving well apart from the slipping clutch (since repaired).
The car has been serviced and MOT'd every year and I have the service history booklet. The MOT has now expired by a few weeks while the car has been off the road.
It is clean and in decent condition for its age and mileage and has been owned by a non-smoker. Before the current issue, I found it a really enjoyable car to drive the 1.0 turbo feels surprisingly punchy and it is a fun little car, particularly around town and on country roads.
Roof bars are currently fitted and can be included with the car if wanted. If not, I am happy to remove them before collection.
I want to be completely upfront about the fault. The head gasket is the issue I have been advised of, but as I have chosen not to have the engine dismantled or repaired, I cannot guarantee that this is the only work required.
The car is therefore being sold as a non-runner/project and will need to be collected by trailer or recovery vehicle. The buyer is welcome to inspect the car before purchase.
Genuine reason for sale I have now bought another car and decided not to put further money into repairing this one.
