Description
Reluctantly for sale is my Mercedes-Benz CLK 430 - affectionately known as 'Brian'. As Brian is my second vehicle, I rarely have an opportunity to use him, and have covered little in the way of miles since purchasing him in 2024. He never fails to put a smile on my face when driving him, and gets attention wherever he goes. Below is a summary of Brian:
Modifications: Professionally fitted a new Koni sports suspension kit (comfortable and has no issues with rubbing or speed-bumps), a set of deep-dish mono-block style wheels, and a pair of Bimec spacers at the front. Brian also has a back-box delete - which was made by the previous owner - and sounds beautiful.
Bodywork: Commensurate with its age, with the expected odd scuff/scratch/chip. I have tried to capture the worst of it in the picture, however he polishes up well. The nearside wheels have signs of curbing, but are overall in good condition.
Interior: Again - commensurate with age, with a split in the driver's seat, a sagging headliner etc.
To drive: Brian goes and stops really well, and drives like a typical old Mercedes. He's comfortable, quiet when driven sensibly, and makes a beautiful roar when accelerating. There are no warning lights on the dash.
Comes with: A folder of service history, invoices and receipts of all the work that has been carried out. In my ownership, I have had my trusted mechanic perform a transmission service, oil and air filter change, a new battery fitted, and more. Brian also comes with two keys, a Bluetooth stereo, and the personalised number plate.
To note:
MOT due September 2027. He does have advisories which are mainly around corrosion to the sills and suspension components.
The cruise control function is faulty. I have not had this investigated, although research suggests it may be due to the aftermarket wheels.
The air conditioning needs regassing.
The seat adjustment controls can be temperamental, although there is a knack to using them.
