Description
This has been my wife's car for around six years. It's a 2002 Toyota RAV4 2.0 VVT-i petrol manual 4WD, has covered 201,964 miles and is now a member of the Toyota High Mile Club. It's been a reliable and very useful car.
It has just had a BRAND-NEW CLUTCH, was serviced two weeks ago, has recent tyres and comes with service history. The MOT runs until 28 September 2027. It is also ULEZ compliant.
The interior has worn its age and mileage particularly well, and everything works as it should. It has air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, an Alpine stereo, alloy wheels and roof rails. The rear seats fold down to provide plenty of room for luggage, dogs or whatever else needs transporting.
It's 24 years old and has done just over 200,000 miles, so obviously it isn't pristine. There are age-related marks, some deterioration around a front wheel arch, minor damage to the passenger door and a small crack in the bumper. I've tried to show these clearly in the photographs.
It's the sort of car that would make a great local runaround, dog car or second family vehicle. Equally, for someone with a sense of adventure, there's something rather appealing about taking an old Toyota on a road trip across Europe. Its relatively straightforward mechanical design is a welcome change from some of today's more complicated cars, although any long journey would naturally warrant the usual checks beforehand.
We're selling simply because we no longer need it. At the price, you're looking at roughly the cost of a few months' lease payments on a modern small SUV, except this one is yours to keep.
An honest old RAV4 with plenty of miles behind it, a brand-new clutch and hopefully many more adventures ahead.
