# Car for Sale - Needs Repair - Open to Reasonable Offers I'm selling my car as I'm looking to buy a Toyota Prius for my work. When I bought the car, it was worth **£2,800**. Inlet camshaft position sensor fault (P0340)** A fault code was recorded relating to the sensor that monitors the position of the engine's camshaft. **3. Possible engine timing problem** The AA compared the expected inlet camshaft angle (115) with the actual angle (156). This suggests the engine timing may be incorrect. **4. Possible timing chain or variable valve timing fault** The exact cause has not yet been confirmed. The AA suspects a possible issue with the variable valve timing system or a worn timing chain. If the timing chain has failed, it could cause significant engine damage. **5. Lambda sensor fault (P0140)** A fault code was recorded for the second oxygen sensor. The AA checked the sensor and reported that it appeared to be working, but the cause of the fault remains unclear.
