Description
Reason for sale - 7 seats not needed for us now two of our boys have left home.
The Good:
Car runs beautifully. We bought it one owner at 50k miles, it has been regularly serviced including cambelt replacement every 50,000 miles so 50k, 100k, 150k. MOT until March 2027. Everything works! - electric windows, aircon, lights, sound system, no warning issues at all, clutch and gearbox great, new shock absorbers all round at the last MOT, only the stop-start is disabled. Always starts first time and mechanically has been the best car we've ever owned.
True 7 seats, big enough for five six-footers in the back, and all the seats fold down for a flat van-like space (last time we moved we did it all with the Alhambra!)
Great fuel economy, it's been a while since I measured but around 50mpg last time I did.
The Not-so-good: The most annoying is a small oil leak, about a dozen drops a day I reckon. Our mechanic says it is a seal from when the cambelt was replaced at 150k, he says not an issue mechanically at all but £200 to change the seal (but he can't fit us in yet).
It's priced to sell. We've taken care to keep it running well and any mechanical issues are minor, however the car has a few dings, dents, wear on drivers seat and scratchess as it's been well loved as a family car. In addition there are some marks from roofracks (pictured), all these issues though are cosmetic as the car drives lovely. Nothing structural at all, just cosmetic.
There is a small crack on the front number plate, its mentioned on the mot each year but always passes. See photos. Sadly I don't have the service records (that is the problem of asking your boys to clean the car and finding they've thrown everything away.) But if you drive the car you will soon know it is mechanically very sound. We have been driving it every day, we've been to Switzerland in it and I would have no hesitation in repeating that journey tomorrow.
