A very well looked-after E46 with stacks of paperwork and service history to back up its maintenance over the years. It has a full main dealer service history, with the exception of just one service carried out by a reputable BMW specialist. It also has a clean MOT history. The car is very clean inside and out for its age, with only minimal rust. There is a very small spot of rust on the offside rear arch, but overall the bodywork presents extremely well for an E46. All four wheels are also in great condition, with only a few very minor, barely noticeable scuffs. Mechanically, there isn't much that needs doing. The window trims have started to bubble, which is a common issue on these cars. BMW no longer manufacture the original black trims, but aftermarket replacements are readily available and relatively inexpensive. There is also a slight oil leak from the sump and timing cover. Both are common issues on these engines and are currently only minor leaks, with neither affecting the car's day-to-day running. The 1.9L engine is well known for being reliable, and the gearbox is particularly smooth even compared with some newer BMWs. Overall, this is a genuine, well-maintained E46 with excellent history, a very clean interior and exterior, and plenty of paperwork to accompany it. A great example for someone looking for a solid E46 without the usual neglected history you often find with these cars.
