The MG Midget Represents British Sports Car Motoring at its Simplest and Most Enjoyable. Small, Lightweight and Designed Around the Pleasure of Driving, It's a Proper Two-Seat Roadster from an Era when Performance wasn't about Huge Power Figures, but about Feeling Connected to the Car and the Road Beneath You. This 1978 Example Comes from the Later Chapter of Midget Production and is Powered by the 1500cc Engine Paired with a 4-Speed Manual Gearbox. With Very Little Weight to Move, the Midget Feels Lively and Responsive, with Direct Steering, Compact Dimensions and a Driving Position that Places You Low to the Ground and Right at the Heart of the Experience. The Exterior Is Classic British Roadster, with Its Long Bonnet, Short Rear Deck, Round Headlights and Compact Proportions Creating a Shape that is Instantly Recognisable. Drop the Folding Roof and It Becomes Exactly What a Classic MG Should Be, a Simple Open-Top Sports Car Made for Country Roads and Sunny Weekends. To the Interior we find, Two Leather Seats, Traditional Analogue Instrumentation, a Wood-Effect Dashboard, Manual Controls and the Wonderfully Simple Cockpit that Gives Cars of this Period so Much Character. There's Very Little Between the Driver, the Controls and the Road, and that's Exactly the Point. A Slight Adjustment to the Choke, a Quick Turn of the Key and you're away, down the Country Lanes and off on an Adventure. As you Stop with the Roof Down, Simply Attach the Supplied Tonneau Cover for Protection from the Elements. This Lovely Example Benefits from 2 Keys, is Tax and MOT Exempt and Comes with a Detailed and Plentiful Service File.
