2020 Skoda Superb 2.0 Diesel - Ex-Taxi - Honest Sale I'm selling my 2020 2.0 diesel Skoda Superb, which I owned and used as a taxi for approximately 2 years. I want to be completely honest about its condition so there are no surprises for the buyer. The car was well looked after during my ownership. It was serviced roughly every 10,000 miles and regularly cleaned and maintained. It has had the cambelt and water pump changed, gearbox oil changed, regular servicing, 2 new front tyres and good tyres on the rear. It had a 12-month MOT and I've only done around 1,000 miles since. Current issues - please read carefully: The car went into a garage in April this year due to an AdBlue fault. The garage subsequently mapped/disabled the AdBlue system, so it no longer uses AdBlue. While there, the garage damaged the front bumper but unfortunately would not accept responsibility. They also discovered an issue with the fuel pump. I purchased a new pump, but unfortunately this did not resolve the problem, so the fuel gauge currently does not work. I then took the car to another garage, who found an oil leak. The O-rings/seals at the bottom of the injectors were replaced and the leak was resolved. Since then the car has mostly been unused and the battery has now gone flat/dead. The last time I drove it, the engine management light came on together with a flashing glow-plug light. I have not driven it since, so this fault will need diagnosing. I won't pretend to know what the exact cause is. Some work does not have receipts, but I'm happy to provide garage details and, where possible, contact them with a genuine buyer to verify work carried out. I changed careers after these mechanical issues arose, and I simply don't want to spend any more money on the car. It served me extremely well during the two years I used it as a taxi and was genuinely looked after. I appreciate that being an ex-taxi affects the value, and this is reflected in my expectations. This is not a ready-to-drive car and will require time, attention and money. It will need to be towed away. However, it is a 2020 Superb that has had considerable maintenance and money spent on it, and I believe it deserves to be put back on the road rather than sitting unused. Sold as seen.
