Description
Nissan Qashqai dCi N-TEC 4WD
This was my wife's car, and following her death I have reluctantly decided that it is time to sell it.
We bought the car in 2014 and it has been serviced annually throughout our ownership. Most of its mileage has been local driving around the Hampshire countryside, and the mileage remains very low for its age.
I decided to bring forward the recent service and MOT so that I could offer the car for sale knowing that there were no hidden problems. During the service, the garage advised me that the turbo was beginning to show signs of wear. Rather than leave it until it became a problem, I asked them to replace it with a new turbo, which they have done.
The car has been very well looked after and is in generally very good condition, with only the usual minor scratches associated with a car of this age. The tyres are all in good condition. The wheels are probably the area that would benefit most from some attention.
Everything else has worked well, including the electrical equipment, dashboard functions and GPS. It also has the glass panoramic roof, which my wife particularly enjoyed, with the facility to cover it during hotter weather.
She particularly liked the higher driving position and the amount of space available, which was especially useful as she was a keen gardener. The four-wheel-drive system can also be switched to two-wheel drive, which can help with fuel consumption when four-wheel drive isn't required.
There is also a full-size spare wheel, which we have never had to use.
With local driving, it normally returns around 32-34 mpg, with the option of two-wheel drive providing the opportunity for better economy on longer journeys.
I'm asking £5,350, which I believe represents very good value for someone looking for a well-maintained Qashqai of this type with such low mileage.
I'd be very happy for any prospective buyer to come and look at the car, take their time and make their own assessment.
