The SD4 engine Evoque is free from the reliability issues of the Ingenium engine Evoques. If looking at Freelander 2s, this car has the same base engine (2.2L diesel), but with more mod cons. For peace of mind, this car has had in the last 10 months: New timing and auxiliary belt, engine water pump, new front brake discs and pads installed, full new set of compatible wheel nuts (comes with an additional free full set in case you need them), 4 new wheel speed sensors (these tend to go at this age so you won't have to worry about them, power steering / ABS stop working when they go), manual transmission oil and rear differential oil has been changed for longevity, aluminium steering rack bolts changed for stainless steel in optional recall (if not done steering rack can detach while driving, this car has had the work done). Other examples may not have had all of this done, and costly to get to this point. Rear tyres replaced within the last 10 months. Engine is very tidy limited signs of any rust. Under the vehicle also looking very good for it's age. We are the second owner of the vehicle. Just had it's major service done in August. Heated seats, heated steering wheel, Meridian sound system, panoramic sunroof.
