Rare 50th Anniversary Edition, No. 34 of 124 cars produced for the UK launch. This is an enthusiast's project car. It has covered only 25k miles and has been in my ownership since Oct 2019. The Anniversary Edition includes: sat nav, cruise control, Bose audio, heated seats, parking sensors, unique design and trim. The car comes with two keys, full service history and the original bill of sale. ## Engine / Mechanical Condition: The car requires significant engine work and is being sold as project / spares or repair. While driving the engine warning light came on, the car lost power and stopped. My garage diagnosed a broken spark plug and found debris in the engine, but they could not investigate further. The car was subsequently taken to an engine-rebuilding specialist. Their invoice lists extensive engine and ECU refurbishment work, including new components: * Camshafts * Multi Jet * Cylinder head * Block liners * Conrods * Crankshaft * Turbo * Clutch However, I cannot verify which of this work was actually completed. Unfortunately, any work that was carried out was not completed to an acceptable standard. ## Current condition As of May the car runs but has very limited performance and struggles to exceed ~60 mph. The battery is currently flat and will need replacing, so I am unable to demonstrate the car running at present. A local garage that I trust subsequently inspected the car and identified: * Spark plugs were wet with fuel. * Spark plugs are covered in soot and in a poor state (presumably not replaced) * Two engine coils are failing but work. * Cylinders 3 and 4 have lost 100 PSI * Debris in Cylinder 4 and engine. Photos of current cylinder state attached. *The engine should therefore be considered to require a rebuild or replacement.* ## Other items to be aware of * The front brake callipers were professionally re-manufactured in November last year. * The canvas roof is in good condition, it has been treated yearly to protect from leaks and damage. * MOT expired on 02nd October. This is a rare, low-mileage Anniversary Edition with significant potential for the right buyer. It would particularly suit someone with mechanical knowledge, access to an engine specialist, or an enthusiast looking for a worthwhile project.
