Description

What to say! This is a great truck for somebody who wants something powerful, basic and capable.. it's not a great truck for somebody who wants something inexpensive to fuel with lane assist.. try a PHEV! This Mitsubishi is the rare 3.0ltr V6 petrol version. So it sounds phenomenal but it's as thirsty as you'd expect a 3.0ltr V6 petrol truck to be. What you spend on fuel you'll save on maintenance.. Mitsubishi have made this car very easy to maintain and repair yourself and even the main dealer doesn't charge you the earth for service and repair.. I think the technicians like working on something that doesn't need lenses cleaning or have "ERROR 404" appear on the dash. The good and the bad (an honest listing!) The bad first; - The EML is on. It in no way effects the driving or performance of the car. Infact, a Mitsubishi main dealer has looked over the engine very recently and replaced any serviceable parts that needed doing. These cars have a tendency for sensors to go and I suspect there's some intermittencies happening to cause the EML. - it's not very fuel efficient. But no worse than you'd expect a 3.0ltr v6 petrol 2002 engine to be. I have driven to Cornwall and back (400 miles from me) and it cost around £180. - The bodywork. I'll let my honest photography explain this one. Although a lot of the damage is in the plastic trims so it could be tidied up pretty inexpensively. - The window tint. It would benefit from being re-done by a professional as it's a peeling in places. It's functional just not perfect. The good! - No turbos, No Hybrid battery, no funny business. This motor was made at a time when they made real cars. It's a basic and incredibly capable petrol V6! It's easy to maintain yourself and the parts are very cheap. - It's ULEZ complaint! You don't often get trucks of this specification that you can bumble around cities in, fee free! - It's future proof. I've very recently had the following replaced; Plugs, HRT leads, fuel filter, thermostat. And most importantly, the timing belt was changed by Mitsubishi 2 months ago. - x4 new off road tyres fitted. - the underside and chassis is incredibly clean and rust free for a truck of this age. This is one of the main reasons I chose this specific truck. - selective 2 or 4 Wheel drive capability - Beautiful and well preserved (for its age) leather interior. - CD player! In 2026! - Road tax is £420 a year (£35/month). Which for a car of this age and spec.. is brilliant! E
