Description
EP3 in excellent condition with no expense spared keeping it in top condition. The car is completely stock apart from the radio but I do have the original one that can easily be refitted. It's rare to find unmodified models now and especially examples that are free from rust.
I purchased the vehicle at around 65,000 miles. At which time Area Motosport fitted a new clutch and flywheel whilst giving the vehicle a health check. This involved checking the timing chain, valve clearances and fitting new belts and pulleys etc.
Since then, Area Motorsport removed rust from the rear arches and welded clean new metal in its place. The car is clean and free of rot throughout. Images and receipts of all the work done are available. Car hasn't been under sealed like most meaning it's clear to examine the underside and arches to see there is no rust. I have applied Lanoguard last year which has done a great job at protecting the car from corrosion.
The 2004 Honda Civic i-VTEC Type R represents a well-known performance hatchback from a period when the manufacturer focused on delivering engaging driving dynamics. This specific model is equipped with a 2.0-litre petrol engine, which serves as the core of its mechanical setup. As a Type R trim, it carries the heritage associated with the brand's performance-oriented engineering, offering a driving experience that prioritises responsiveness and driver involvement.
This vehicle distinguishes itself through its performance capabilities, most notably its ability to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 6.8 seconds. This acceleration figure highlights the efficiency of the engine and transmission pairing, allowing the car to offer a level of pace that remains competitive within its class. By combining this power delivery with the specific engineering characteristics of the i-VTEC system, the vehicle provides a distinct driving experience that sets it apart from standard hatchback models of the same era.
