Description
Just fitted new track rods, clutch, flywheel and a timing belt as it was due one next year.
Volkswagen Transporter Trendline T30 2L TDI Factory Kombi. Ex demonstrator I bought with virtually nothing on the clock and it's been a well loved family holiday wagon ever since. High milage but almost exclusively motorway miles, this van has been everywhere from Cologne in Germany to Tarifa in Spain via Milan and never had a problem. Its main job is driving between London and Toulouse to spend the school holidays at the in-laws. it also lived with us in Biarritz for 3 years before coming back where sadly the ULEZ restrictions force its sale. despite showing signs of its age its a great van with many years left in it.
The Good:
It has steel wheels with new BF Goodrich all terrain tyres
new front brakes
full VW service history
Air conditioning (climatic, so you set the temperature and it keeps it)
2 captain chairs (originally had a double bench passenger seat so you could put one back if you wanted)
Steel rear platform from forty winks (keeps stuff underneath secure and acts as a bed platform with middle seats flat)
sound deadened, insulated and carpeted all round (doors, panels and roof)
Van-X Curtains on the middle row and rear windows
full spare underneath with locking nut
Rear bumper parking sensors
heated mirrors
cruise control
Rear Rubber Load mat
2 remote keys plus the original non remote emergency spare
original tailgate gas struts if you want to take off the bike rack
An insulated sunscreen for the front windscreen
Can throw in a Childs bed that goes across the front seats if you want it
snow chains (unused, you just don't need them with A/T tyres)
80 litre fuel tank which gives you around 600 miles range
The bad:
a few dings around the body, nothing major just carpark stuff and some damage where I had a previous bike rack stolen
bike rack has seen better days, it just about works still
CarPlay screen is temperamental. radio works fine though including bluetooth
feel free to text or WhatsApp if you prefer, if I'm busy and can't answer ill get back to you.
