Description

Putting my CL55 AMG up for sale. I'm not desperate to sell it, I've just never quite fallen in love with it the way I expected to and I quite fancy getting back into a BMW. It's an incredible car for the money - a proper pillarless luxury coupe with the supercharged 5.4-litre V8, huge performance and all the comfort you'd expect from a car that cost over £100,000 when new. Since buying the car it's had: Full service Hydraulic fluid change New discs and pads all round Carbon fibre front lip Maxton Design side skirts Maxton Design rear spoiler Paintwork refreshed in a number of areas Before my ownership it has had: Two new ABC shocks Fluid change Nearly every suspension component has been replaced When I bought it, the paintwork had quite a few faded areas, which isn't particularly surprising on a 23-year-old car. I've spent time refreshing these areas and generally improving the appearance of the car. It's made a massive difference, although I'm not going to pretend it's a brand-new car - there are still age-related marks if you go looking for them. I also have 3 new engine mounts ready to fit which will come with the car. I simply haven't got round to fitting them yet. There is currently a slight vibration which I believe is related to the mounts. It will also come with a new prop doughnut, it doesn't need replacing just looked a little dry when I checked the car over Mechanically the car runs great and pulls as it should. All electrics are working as they should, including the various toys you'd expect from a flagship Mercedes of this era. One thing worth mentioning: one of the alloys is damaged courtesy of what I can only describe as a meteorite-strike-sized hole on the M6. This has blessed the car with a lovely vibration at around 70mph and above. I've no interest in hiding it - the wheel will ideally want repairing or replacing
