Description

Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG 5.5 V8 Kompressor - 2002 - Automatic Convertible I'm selling my Mercedes SL55 AMG, a fantastic car that's been well looked after over the years and is in good condition for its age. These are becoming harder to find, especially examples with a comprehensive service history and plenty of paperwork. The car comes with two folders full of service history, invoices and receipts, along with the original Mercedes handbooks and three keys. It's clearly had a lot of money spent on maintenance over the years, particularly on the ABC suspension system, which has had extensive work carried out and doesn't suffer from the usual dropping issues. More recently, it's had two new batteries fitted and a service. Some of the main features include: Heated and cooled leather seats Distronic adaptive cruise control BOSE premium sound system Electric folding hardtop roof 18" AMG alloy wheels Xenon headlights Steering wheel gearshift buttons Multifunction steering wheel Electrically adjustable steering wheel Electric windows Wind deflector Cruise control All the usual Mercedes luxury extras A few things worth mentioning: Being a 2002 car, there are a few age-related marks around the bodywork, nothing unusual for a car of this age. There's also a small crack in the windscreen. The battery warning light is currently illuminated despite having two new batteries fitted. The car appears to be charging fine, so it may just need resetting, although I haven't had this investigated further but apparently this Is common. driver seat is a bit worn. Some of the plastics can feel a tad sticky one of the air vents in the dash isa bit out of sync the heater controller unit needs to be cleaned as at times can come on unannounced I'd rather mention these things upfront so there are no surprises for anyone coming to view. HPI clear. Overall, it's a lovely example of the SL55 AMG with the fantastic supercharged V8 engine, plenty of history and lots of maintenance carried out over the years. A great car to enjoy, especially with the roof down, and one that's becoming something of a modern classic. Genuine enquiries and viewings welcome.
