This is my daily driver, and it has been the best car I've ever owned. I've covered almost half of the current 136,000 miles, and it has been faultless comfortable, fast, economic & with a boot way more capable than just carrying a suitcase! This really is the 'do everything' car, and so worth the extra money versus a 530d/525d. A 535d really makes this car. Maintenance & Reliability The car has never wanted for anything. Fully serviced annually with oil and filters every 8,000 miles, and it has never missed a beat. I regularly achieve 40mpg average, and on long motorway runs it will do mid to high 50s mpg, which is incredible for a 300+ bhp twin turbo. I have plenty of receipts for the works that have been done and have always used the same specialist mechanic. Any recalls have been carried out in BMW garages. Never towed, no pets, non-smoker, and professionally valeted at least once a month. A very sad sale. £2,500 Professional Audio Upgrade When I bought the car, the factory audio was disappointing so I had it professionally upgraded with a discreet, invisible 10 speaker custom system (plus optional sub) using the original head unit. It sounds outstanding and is fully tunable to your preference through the DSP. It is a huge improvement over stock and took months of planning and research to make it still look stock and also sound really good ( I am a bit of an audiophile...!) Long Distance Comfort We've taken it across Europe with four people and full luggage. It eats miles in quiet comfort - smooth and effortless at motorway speeds.
