Description
HEAD TURNER | HUGE HISTORY | BELTS DONE
A fantastic and very usable example of an early 1985 Porsche 944 2.5 Manual, currently showing 117,500 miles. I've absolutely loved owning this car. It starts first time every time, runs beautifully and has been extremely dependable throughout my ownership.
It comes with stacks of old paperwork and extensive service history, and a lot of money has been spent on it over the years. The important cam belts and oil seals have been done, along with a new clutch slave cylinder, flexi pipes, brakes and discs.
It sits on a set of sought-after alloys in the correct fitment with RainSport tyres and also comes with the original Porsche alloys, so two sets of wheels are included.
The suspension has been upgraded with GAZ coilovers at the front and GAZ rear dampers, with the rear torsion bars re-indexed to lower the car by approximately 40mm. It gives the car a great stance while still being genuinely usable.
The exterior looks fantastic, with very few age-related marks considering it is over 40 years old. The sills have previously been done and I've recently had a few areas of the paintwork touched up. It's a proper head-turner and has actually been used in countless photoshoots, which probably says more about how good it looks than I can.
The interior presents well overall. As with many early 944s, the dashboard has some cracking and there is a rip to the passenger seat. I'd rather mention the few imperfections than try to hide them.
The horn is currently not working a minor job that I intended to sort but haven't got around to.
The car has a current MOT and, being over 40 years old, is eligible for historic vehicle status/MOT exemption subject to DVLA requirements.
This isn't a concours car that's afraid to leave the garage. It's a great-looking, well-maintained and genuinely usable classic Porsche that you can get in, start and enjoy.
It has been a true joy to own and I'd genuinely love to keep it. Unfortunately, with little ones I now need to move to a four-door classic, which is the only reason I'm selling.
It gets attention wherever it goes and I'll genuinely be sad to see it leave. I'd love it to go to someone who will use and enjoy it as much as I have.
genuine enquiries and viewings welcome.
