Description
Plate not included - currently on NG64 XBL.
A fantastic, completely standard Mk7 Golf R with a very high factory specification and the increasingly hard-to-find 6-speed manual gearbox.
I've owned the car for nearly 3 years and it has been brilliant throughout. I had considered keeping it long-term, but an opportunity to change cars through work has come up.
Completely standard with no modifications and maintained properly, with major jobs already completed including the water pump/thermostat housing, clutch and Haldex pump. It has also very recently had a Haldex service and pump clean, full engine service, new discs and pads all round and a brake fluid service.
A recent major service identified a few age-related advisories: slight oil misting from the upper timing cover gasket and cracking to the propshaft vibration damper. Neither is currently causing any issues. There is also a minor leak from the nearside headlight washer when the washer bottle is filled above roughly half full.
Full service history with stamps and invoices, plus a large folder of receipts/documentation. Premium unleaded only during my ownership. MOT until end of Jan 2027.
High factory spec includes:
6-speed manual, carbon/leather sports seats, 8-inch Discover Navigation Pro, parking sensors, reverse camera, keyless entry/start, Dynaudio sound system with subwoofer, panoramic roof, climate windscreen, adaptive cruise control, DCC, selectable driving modes, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, heated seats, genuine 19-inch Pretoria alloys, Bi-Xenon headlights/LED DRLs, 4MOTION, dual-zone climate control and 2 keys.
Tyres: Goodyear Eagle F1s on the front, fitted 6,000 miles ago. Uniroyal RainSport 5s on the rear with good tread.
Significant work:
96,342 - new discs/pads all round + brake fluid
95,876 - full service, oil/filters, plugs, inspection + Haldex service/pump clean
82,501 - thermostat housing/water pump
56,230 - clutch
41,726 - Haldex pump fitted by VW dealer
It drives beautifully and has been a fantastic car to own. As expected for the age and mileage, there are some paintwork marks and the alloys would benefit from refurbishment, but mechanically it has always received what it needs.
A high-spec, manual, unmodified Mk7 Golf R with excellent documented history and many of the expensive jobs already completed.
