A swiss army knife of a van! Second bench of three seats regularly added to make it an 8 seater (just four bolts). Automatic pop top and blinds. High-quality wind out sun shade/ rain screen awning (with the grove to attach a side awning/ tent). 100% reliable, including spending the summer in south France (even the aircon impresses). Everything works perfectly and it's a joy to cruise around in. Light filled, high up, dead easy to manoeuvre (its actually narrow compared with modern cars and that combined with the sliding rear door make carparks and kids a doddle). This is our first bongo and we read lots about coolant but pleased to note the coolant level has not dropped at all in 2 years (alarm fitted just in case but its dead easy to check under the bonnet anyway). Tiny bit of rust in the rear arches that you could tidy up. I cracked one of the rear lights by knocking it with the wheelie bin. Nothing else to note. We were very close to buying a fresh import from Bongo Barn or ano specialist to avoid any rust/ salt related risk and were delighted to find this one and buy from the first owners in the UK. Two keys and all paperwork, including original sale and all service invoices are present and we contacted Bongo Barn to confirm it is indeed one of theirs for complete piece of mind (it has the plaque and this is pictured). Serviced by Bongo Barn in March 2023 at 167482km, annual service, including roof mechs, light lenses and underseal top up. Serviced by Bongo Barn in April 2024 at 175835km, annual service, underseal top up, replace front brake pads and discs. Purchased by us in December 2024 180,790km. Annual service at our local garage May 2025 at 184921km (oil service, wiper blades). Annual service at our local garage April 2026 at 191615km (oil service, new exhaust).
