1996 Land Rover Defender 110 County Station Wagon 300Tdi - Galvanised Chassis & Bulkhead 1996 Defender 110 County Station Wagon with the 300Tdi engine. I've owned it since 2018 and am reluctantly selling after eight years due to a change in circumstances. During my ownership it has had substantial mechanical and structural work, including: * Galvanised chassis * Galvanised bulkhead * Replacement gearbox * Replacement transfer box * Replacement clutch * Replacement differentials * Wheel bearings * Swivel housings and swivel pins * Regular servicing and various other work I have an extensive file of invoices and paperwork covering much of the work, including the chassis, bulkhead, differentials, clutch, wheel bearings and swivel work, as well as servicing and other maintenance. I've used and enjoyed the Defender throughout my ownership, including many long trips around Scotland. My focus has always been on maintaining the underlying mechanical and structural condition rather than making it cosmetically perfect. Accordingly, this isn't being sold as a fully restored or immaculate Defender. It's a 30-year-old vehicle and has the expected age-related marks and some jobs still to do, including some corrosion to the doors and a few minor electrical/accessory faults. I'm very happy to discuss these with prospective buyers before viewing. I'm a former aircraft mechanic and have tried to take a pragmatic approach to its maintenance, prioritising the major structural and mechanical work. It has been a much-loved vehicle and I'll be sorry to see it go.
