This Ford E-Transit 425 is an electric crew cab van with 6 seats that offers a substantial saving compared to operating a diesel powered van. This vehicle was previously owned by Ford for customer demonstration purposes. It therefore has a high specification and full Ford service history, it also has full Ford Warranty and the battery is covered by warranty until 8/6/2030. This van has a Gross Weight of 4,250kg but due to regulation changes by the government on the 1st June 2026 it can be driven by anyone with a car licence. This is a rule change to allow electric vans that are naturally heavier than a diesel van to carry an equal amount of payload so that they can do the same work as any other van. Rules were also changed permitting the tachograph not to be used and the van is subject to a normal MOT like any other van. All these rules have taken away the previous drawbacks of electric vans so industry can make the switch to electric without compromise. The van has not covered many miles, only 9805 miles since 2022 due to spending most of its life as a demonstration vehicle. Its condition for a 2022 van is exceptional, owing to its low use and while we have owned the van its only been used to transport staff and never been driven loaded. This E-Transit has a 68kWh battery and this drives the rear wheels with 181 bhp, making it extremely responsive and much quicker than you would normally expect from a commercial vehicle. When fully charged the van will have an expected range of 160 miles. It has completed journeys from Shrewsbury to York, York to Burnley very easily on a single charge with never less than 25% remaining charge. However, if you need more range a public charger will, within 25 minutes take the battery from 30% to 70% and off you go again.
