It was the stunning combination of the FROZEN GREY exterior and IVORY WHITE leather interior that initially grabbed my attention; then it was the M40i 350hp straight six engine, dream-like automatic gearbox with paddle shifts, followed closely by all the added packages of Comfort, Visibility & Technology, as this was the dealers 'Show' vehicle; you name it, she has it! The Head-Up display is wonderful, as is the automatic main beam/dip beam, let alone the sound system and sheer comfort of the heating when driving in autumn/winter at temperatures below 15 deg.C on a sunny day with the roof down; heated steering wheel and seats On. In spring/summer, sun shining, roof down, air conditioniong on, at 30+ deg.C, is sheer bliss and puts a big smile on my face. There are three modes of driving the engine - Eco, Comfort and Sport. The sound of the engine in Sport mode is something else to grin about. The sound when pushing the engine Start button, is an attention grabber. Quick & easy push of the gear shift handle puts either mode into 'Sport' for that immediate burst of power if/when required; there is also Manual gear change by handle or paddle. It has 'weighted' wheel hub-caps, so that the BMW insignia is stationary when the wheel is rotating (if you understanding my meaning), see photos of wheels. The ambient lighting, especially at night is quite something - see 'dark' photo with door open (many colours to choose from), which also illuminates the ground for feet and the door handle has an external light. Complete with emergency red traingle, tyre pressure sensors, electrical air pump, BMW insignia tyre caps and winter frost cover. I am very sad to say goodbye to this incredible piece of engineering, but now retired, we only require one vehicle. She is a dream to drive and always leaves a smile on my face! Full service history, two keys and never had a problem with her.
